Line, Lines, Lines

I've added a few new pictures from Monday's walk.

On Monday, we took a walk and photographed lines that we saw.  This was an exciting activity with great results.

A Nature Walk

Today we took a nature walk around the school and found blooming flowers!  All of these pictures were taken by the third graders.  Good job!

Oceans

Facts from the class:
There is almost 3 times as much water in the ocean as there is land on the earth.

The water gets darker as you dive deeper into the ocean.  The sun's rays cannot shine through the deeper water.

Green plants make oxygen for the fish to breathe. The fish give off carbon dioxide for the plants.

Plankton are tiny floating plants and animals in the sea. Algae is one kind of plankton.
