Hebrew Feast
The girls are reading Growing Up Where Jesus Lived. Thursday our class had a delicious Hebrew feast. We ate food like the Hebrews did: oranges, dates, figs, challah bread, raisins, yogurt, cucumbers, meat, quail and lentil soup. Thank you to all of our Hebrew mothers who provided so abundantly, and to Mrs. Blanchard for the challah bread.

First we washed our hands.

Blessed art thou oh Lord, Jehovah, King of the universe, who bringeth forth fruit from the earth.

Breaking of the bread.
